Group 17: The Great Iodine Deception:

I’m not a physician or scientist… I’m a Bible app developer who used to be a paramedic and I research things that interest me like religion, health and investments. I have come across something that seems curiously odd to me and I would like to share it with you.

Group 17 of The Periodic Table of Elements consists of Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine, Iodine, Astatine and Tennessine.

I started researching Group 17 to debunk the conspiracy theorists who are claiming that “Earth Humans” are being deliberately targeted with large amounts of Fluorine, Chlorine and Bromine in an attempt to “dumb them down.” and make them “less aware”. These conspiracy theorists are claiming that Fluorine, Chlorine and Bromine take up the halogen receptor sites in the human body which are meant for Iodine and cause systemic health problems, including cognitive impairment and decline..

Note: I have repeatedly heard and read, in the conspiracy theory space, that Fluorine, Chlorine and Bromine “Calcify the Pineal Gland” which is also sometimes referred to as the “Third Eye”.

It seems to be well established and accepted among holistic practitioners that there are iodine receptor sites in every cell of the human body and that Iodine is utilized by and necessary for normal cell function. It also seems to be well recognized by holistic practitioners that supplementing with iodine can help to prevent cancers of the breast, prostate, pancreas, and other endocrine system cancers as well as ovarian cysts.

Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine and Iodine all compete for the same halogen receptor sites in the body. We all know that Iodine is concentrated in the thyroid gland as well as other glands in the endocrine system but Iodine is also concentrated in the brain and in every single cell of the body.

Since Iodine is concentrated in the brain it is thought that Iodine deficiency can be a factor in depression, ADHD, eating disorders and other mental health issues as well as a decreased IQ.

Note: The body needs Iodine to function normally and the #1 cause worldwide for mental retardation is said to be Iodine deficiency.

Note: Supplementing with Iodine could improve mental health and increase IQ.

Iodine has been systematically removed and replaced with Fluorine, Chlorine and Bromine and we are constantly being bombarded by these poisons which are everywhere around us.

Fluorine is present in our drinking water, toothpaste, and dental fillings.

According to an article I read, which is published on a US Government website, Fluorine may be a neurotoxin. I have pasted a link to the article at the end of this post.

Note: Fluorination of water has been banned in many countries including Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Norway and the Netherlands to name just a few.

Chlorine Is present in our drinking water, swimming pools, bleached foods and bleached products like paper towels and coffee filters.

Note: Many countries including Denmark Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany have moved away from chlorinated drinking water or ensure that there is no residual chlorine or disinfection by-products (DBPs) at the end users tap.

Bromine is present in our drinking water, swimming pools, hot tubs, bread, wheat products, bromated vegetable oils, car seats, computers, phones, electronics, plastics, furniture, mattresses, fire retardants, pesticides, fertilizers, antidepressants, sedative medications and asthma inhalers.

Note: Bromine is banned as a food additive in Europe, Canada, China, and many other regions. When Bromine is added to food products in California it must contain a warning on the label.

Astatine and Tennessine are both purportedly only created in a lab setting as unstable and radioactive elements. Both Astatine and Tennessine have a higher molecular weight and mass then Iodine so both Astatine and Tennessine could be used to displace iodine in the Halogen Receptor Sites.

Our bodies require Iodine to function and without Iodine we would die. Since we are constantly bombarded with the poisons of Group 17 and our Iodine has been all but completely removed from our environment and food sources we end up filling the Halogen Receptor Sites in our body with the poisons of Group 17 and also heavy metals like mercury and lead.

Conclusion: Although I found no concrete evidence or “smoking gun” that would indicate that Fluorine, Chlorine and Bromine are being deliberately used against “Earth Humans” as some type of biological weapon, the evidence would seem to suggest that Fluorine, Chlorine and Bromine are better off avoided and It may be wise to limit your personal exposure to these substances and filter them out of your drinking water before consumption

Here’s something to ponder: The United Kingdom has banned “Chlorine Dipped Chicken” imports from the United States…The US Government advises It’s citizens against washing raw chicken prior to cooking so I have to ask myself why they are chlorinating the raw chicken supply and then recommending people not wash it off before cooking?

So what can you do about it?

It may be wise to limit your personal exposure to Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine by installing and using an under the sink reverse osmosis water filter or a whole house water filter that filters out Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine and heavy metals.

Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine are also absorbed by the skin and lungs in the shower from physical contact with the water as well as inhaling the steam.

Limiting exposure to all of these poisons is not easy and involves a lot of thought, planning and action.

Stop using fluorinated toothpaste and tell your dentist that you do not want dental fillings with fluoride.

Open the windows in your house for 30 minutes a day and allow the fresh air to come in to reduce the toxic chemical load of your indoor air. Air out your car before you use it and crack the windows while driving.

You are going to have to “Do Your Own Research” (DYOR) on where Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine are found in your specific environment and figure out how to try to avoid it.

I live in Indian River County, Florida and the municipal drinking water here is “treated” with a high amount of Chlorine and other chemicals. My cousins drinking water in Merrick, Long Island, NY has a much lower concentration of added Chlorine but has much higher concentrations of other chemicals then I do here in Florida. My friend Pete, who lives in Scarsdale, NY, has what seems to be a very large concentration of Bromine and other chemicals in his municipal water supply so it is best to find out exactly what chemicals you are dealing with in your local area and then come up with a plan to filter them out before you consume the water.

Note: I recommend and use the Environmental Working Groups website to determine the quality and safety of municipal drinking water. You can check the quality and added chemicals in your municipal drinking water by clicking the link at the end of this post.

Begin supplementing with Iodine. Lugol’s 2% or 5% solution or Optimox Iodoral Iodine pills. The recommended safe daily intake, as established by Dr. Guy Abraham and Dr. David Brownstein, is 12.5mg to 50mg per day and I have even read that Dr. Brownstein recommends up to 75mg a day for healthy people and much higher doses to treat various disease states.

Note: Iodine used to be considered “The Universal Medicine” and was widely used. Iodine is known to be an Antiviral, Antibacterial, Anti-fungal, and Anti-parasitic medication.

Note: One Iodine study revealed that Japanese women who mostly consumed seafood and sea vegetables were getting an average of 13mg of Iodine per day and those women had a very low instance of breast Cancer.

I began taking Iodine many years ago because I read Dr. Brownstein’s Book, “Iodine : Why You Need It, Why You Can’t Live Without It” and also Lynne Farrow’s book, “The Iodine Crisis: What You Don’t Know About Iodine Can Wreck Your Life” and I have not stopped taking it since. I would like to make it clear that I did not begin taking Iodine because of any conspiracy theory but only because of the clinical information presented to me by Dr. David Brownstein, the late Dr. Guy Abraham, and Lynne Farrow.

Note: Dr. Brownstein advises against taking thyroid boosting medications like Synthroid and Armour Thyroid without also supplementing with Iodine and compares it to attempting to run a turbo-charger on your cars engine with an empty gas tank.

Due to my exposure to the toxic dust at The World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, my past history of drug use and abuse, cigarette smoking and my exposure to pesticides and fertilizers, I personally take 100mg a day of Optimox Iodoral to keep myself healthy and overcome the constant bombardment of the poisonous halogens and heavy metals in my environment. I have found that at a dose of 100mg of Iodine daily that I feel better and that my brain awakens and my awareness improves considerably.

There is a detoxification period when you begin supplementing with Iodine your body will begin to detox Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine and heavy metals and you may experience flu-like symptoms for a week or more. Dr. Brownstein recommends that you put a pinch of “Redmonds Real Salt” in some filtered drinking water several times a day to help alleviate the detox symptoms.

It might be wise to start at the 12.5mg dose and then increase slowly up to the 50mg dose over several weeks or even months. I have read that at the 12.5mg dose it could take up to a full year for an Iodine deficient person to become Iodine sufficient.

Since Iodine has a higher molecular weight and mass then Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine it will push the poisons out of the Halogen Receptor Sites and replace them but you will need a constant and significant dose of Iodine to accomplish this as we are constantly being bombarded by Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine

Iodine is also said to detox the body of mercury and lead but the mechanism of this detoxification is not known and is different from the way Iodine detoxes Fluorine, Chlorine and Bromine which are competitors for the halogen receptor sites.

I hope the was helpful. Feel free to contact me with and questions, comments, or suggestions.
